Happy Pride Weekend!! (um, not that I noticed....)

Well, the real reason of course that you felt comfortable going ahead with your BBQ is that it NEVER rains on Pride, regardless of what the weather folks say. And, this year was no exception ... hope the BBQ was great! Happy Pride!!!

Oh, I finally get it! All the rainbows are to convince the rain clouds that it has already rained, and that they should move along and rain somewhere else. And here I was thinking they were a symbol of diversity, or something ;)

Diversity? Pshaw ... ;-) ... s'all about the weather ...
That's okay sweetie, I didn't notice either. I was in Muskoka for my annual cottage getaway. No shirtless hotties in Muskoka this year, but lots of relaxation - something that, let's face it, is waaay more enjoyable (or less frustrating, in any event).

And we almost missed straight pride too (i.e. Canada Day in Ottawa), but we just made it back in time for the evening fireworks.
{Straight Pride} love it! For a second, I thought you were referring to the Pride Parade, since it is so mainstream now. I told Getalife that so many people are coming out these days, that the Parade is just to showcase the newbies for everyone else. I think he believed me for a second. I was just remarking to Lex that I was feeling a little irrelevant, since I don't live on Yonge anymore and don't have prime Pride real estate any longer, but if we're all celebrating Pride on our back decks, or at the cottage, then I think we've got it just about right.
True dat! - at home, anyway. Sadly it's not so in the rest of the world. But then again - it's not just the gays being persecuted in those countries. It's anyone who acts the slightest bit different - like all those evil people who chose ovaries over testicles.

Thankfully we live in a place where differences-based hate is frowned upon - at least in public places.
